Jini Says +

If you've ever been on the IBD Remission Diet, then you already know what it's like to have to open a whole bunch of capsules (quercetin, rutin, CoQ10, grape seed, pine bark) and add them to your shakes every day.

During stressful times, travel, or during flu season, I not only want all those powerful antioxidants and bioflavonoids, but also a whole bunch of others (including superfood greens) specifically to bolster my immune system - ones that I know work well for sensitive guts. Along with therapeutic amounts of all the vitamins (especially B-complex), amino acids and trace minerals that can work in synergy to not only support me, but help me feel GREAT!

Another issue for pretty much everyone these days is eye health - who doesn't spend a ton of time looking at a screen these days? So I also wanted to have these crucial supplements added to the mix.

And that's why I formulated MultiAbsorb Immune Booster for Imix! No fillers, flow agents, just pure amazing nutrients and plant medicine to bolster our immune system, eye health, circulatory system, endocrine, brain and gut health.

The only other thing I take in addition to MultiAbsorb Immune Booster is higher doses of my main minerals – because I want those in atom-sized, liquid form. Magnesium is crucial to health (and needed to convert Vitamin D3 to its active form), but in powder form it will loosen the bowels. So I take magnesium in the QuikPlus angstrom, atom-sized form – where it is absorbed through the lining of the mouth (hold for 30 seconds and swallow) and instantly absorbed into the bloodstream.

Likewise, I take my teeth and bone-building minerals the same way. Too much powder-form calcium can build up in the arteries, so I want that in the QuikPlus nano, atom-sized form for instant absorption. But the Vitamin K2, D3, Boron, Vanadium etc that are also crucial for bone formation, density and flexibility are here in MultiAbsorb.

During winter, I also take additional Vitamin D3 - because I'm olive skinned (the darker your skin, the more D3 you need) I take 5,000 IU per day for maintenance.

Pure 1-Scoop Optimal Health - MultiAbsorb~Immune Booster

MultiAbsorb~Immune Booster is a complete multi-vitamin + immune support in powder form – where every nutrient is ready to scoop and mix in the liquid of your choice. No fillers, flow agents, preservatives, or artificial anything! Add a scoop into water, juice, your protein or veggie shake or smoothie, just shake/blend and go!

MultiAbsorb Immune Booster also contains targeted supplements for eye health (Lutein and Zeaxanthin) that you usually have to purchase as a separate supplement, along with the best bioflavonoids to help prevent allergies and hemorrhoids (Quercetin and Rutin), along with multi-tasking herbs that not only support the immune system, but also support liver, endocrine and respiratory health.

If you've been using Absorb Plus elemental shakes, you'll be happy to know that MultiAbsorb Immune Booster contains exactly the same vitamins, minerals and amino acids that are present in Absorb Plus elemental diet shake - BUT with the amounts boosted so you only take 1 serving per day, PLUS an incredible range of immune strengtheners added. So if you’re transitioning off The IBD Remission Diet, you will recognize many of the supplements that you were adding to your Absorb Plus shakes (like CoQ10, pycnogenol, grape seed, quercetin, rutin) are here in MultiAbsorb Immune Booster, at therapeutic amounts.

Or, if you just want to make sure you’re getting a daily shot of everything your body needs, then MultiAbsorb Immune Booster is a great supplement you can add to your daily juice, protein shake, or smoothie.

Why Powder Form?

MultiAbsorb in loose powder form means NO fillers, flow agents, preservatives, or artificial anything!

A standard capsule with 60 mg of vitamin (for example), means the rest of the capsule contains 415 mg of filler and flow agents (like magnesium stearate or titanium dioxide). So only 1/8 of that capsule is the vitamin; the rest is all filler!

MultiAbsorb contains NOTHING but the pure nutrients listed - that scoop is pure nutrition and nothing else.

Instead of taking 15 capsules per day to get all your supplements, you can just add 1 scoop of MultiAbsorb powder to water, juice, your protein shake, or fruit/veggie smoothie.

What’s NOT in MultiAbsorb?

MultiAbsorb is formulated specifically for people with sensitive guts - so anything that loosens the bowel - vitamin C and magnesium - is in very small amounts. Iron can also be very irritating for the GI tract, so MultiAbsorb is iron-free. We also haven't included much calcium, since powdered calcium may build up in the arteries.

We suggest you take therapeutic doses of calcium, iron and magnesium in atom-sized, liquid form. Magnesium is crucial to health, but in powder form it will loosen the bowels. Similarly, if you have low hemoglobin then you need to supplement with iron, hence we recommend taking iron and magnesium in the QuikPlus angstrom, atom-sized form – where it is absorbed through the lining of the mouth and instantly absorbed into the bloodstream (does not require digestion, so doesn't irritate the gut).

Likewise, too much powder-form calcium can build up in the arteries, so we suggest you use QuikPlus Bone Matrix minerals in nano, atom-sized form for instant absorption. The Vitamin K2, D3, Boron, Vanadium etc that are also crucial for bone formation, density and flexibility are here in MultiAbsorb.

Ingredients

MultiAbsorb Immune Booster contains the following key, naturally-derived nutrients that are crucial to maintain optimal health & immune function, in therapeutic amounts. We have also done extensive research to determine and select the form of each nutrient; for maximum bioavailability and usage:

Vitamin A  (as Beta Carotene - from Dunaliella salina) - Vitamin A helps form and maintain healthy teeth, skeletal and soft tissue, mucus membranes, and skin. Promotes good vision. Beta-carotene is an antioxidant therefore it protects cells from damage caused by free radicals. Vitamin A’s antioxidant activity allows it to improve respiratory health, limit carcinogens, enhance immune response, and prevent damage to lipids, proteins, and DNA.

Vitamin A (as Vit. A Retinyl Acetate) - Plays an important role in vision, bone growth, reproduction, cell division, and cell differentiation. Retinyl acetate binds to and activates retinoid receptors, inducing cell differentiation and decreasing cell proliferation. This agent also inhibits carcinogen-induced neoplastic transformation in some cancer cell types and exhibits immunomodulatory properties.

Vitamin B1 - Thiamin (as Thiamin Mononitrate) - used for digestive problems including poor appetite, ulcerative colitis, boosting immune system, and ongoing diarrhea. Thiamin plays an essential role in normal cellular functions, growth, and development from its involvement in critical metabolic reactions related to energy metabolism. Thiamin also plays a role in reducing cellular oxidative stress.

Vitamin B2 - Riboflavin (as Riboflavin-5-Phosphate) - Riboflavin is critical for the metabolism of carbohydrates, fats, and proteins and also works with the other B vitamins to assist with body growth, energy production and red blood cell production. In the body, riboflavin is primarily found as an integral component of the coenzymes flavin adenine dinucleotide (FAD) and flavin mononucleotide (FMN).

Vitamin B3 Niacin (as Niacinamide) - Required for important ADP ribose transfer reactions involved in DNA repair and calcium mobilization. Assists the lowering of cholesterol, increases circulation, and is required for proper function of fats and sugars in the body. Also maintains healthy cells, has beneficial effects on clotting, and antioxidant protection.

Vitamin B5 - Pantothenic Acid (as D-Calcium Pantothenate) – Also known as Vitamin B5, pantothenic acid is a precursor in the synthesis of coenzyme A. Vitamin B5 is critical to the manufacture of red blood cells and contributes to the structure and function of brain cells (via CoA). Your body needs Vitamin B5 (pantothenic acid) to synthesize cholesterol and is important in maintaining a healthy digestive tract. It helps the body use other vitamins, particularly Vitamin B2 (also called riboflavin), create energy and break down carbohydrates and fats. Your body requires all the B-complex vitamins including B5 to carry out many nervous system functions.

Vitamin B6 (as Pyridoxal-5-Phosphate) - Makes antibodies to fight many diseases, maintain normal nerve function, makes hemoglobin (deficiency can cause anemia), breaks down proteins and protects them from glycation, and maintains normal ranges of blood sugar.

Vitamin B7 - Biotin (as D-biotin) - Biotin is an important component of enzymes in the body that break down certain substances like fats, carbohydrates, and proteins for cellular energy production. It regulates gene expression and supports healthy hair, skin, and nails. D-biotin is the biologically active form of biotin (also known as Vitamin B7), is naturally occurring, and has very high absorption. Biotin is involved in glucose and lipid homeostasis.

Vitamin B8 - Inositol (as Myo-inositol) - Its major function is in the metabolism of fats and cholesterol especially to keep fats from accumulating in the liver. Inositol helps form phospholipids; which form cell membranes to enclose the cytoplasm and keep the cell membranes flexible, not stiff.

Vitamin B9 - Folic Acid (as L-5-methyltetrahydrofolic acid) - Folate helps produce and maintain new cells. Folate is needed to make DNA and RNA, however, it also helps prevent changes to DNA. Folate is also essential for iron absorption and the metabolism of homocysteine - and helps maintain normal levels of this amino acid. Folate deficiency can result in decreased synthesis of methionine and an accumulation of homocysteine.

Vitamin B12 (as Methylcobalamin) - essential for DNA synthesis, cellular energy production, and supports brain and nerve health. Helps the formation of red blood cells, maintenance of the central nervous system, and lower homocysteine levels (increased plasma homocysteine levels have been recognized as an important risk factor for cardiovascular disease). A deficiency in vitamin B12 results in a functional folate deficiency, as folate becomes trapped in the form of methyltetrahydrofolate.

Vitamin C (as Calcium Ascorbate and ascorbyl palmitate) - Vitamin C improves the absorption of iron, protects cells from damage caused by free radicals, regulates collagen synthesis, aids the growth and repair of tissues throughout the body, and helps maintain a healthy immune system. Vitamin C also functions as an antioxidant. It reduces lipid, protein, and DNA oxidation, which helps the body maintain healthy organ function. In addition, research shows that Vitamin C works together with Vitamin E and beta carotene to further reduce oxidative stress in cell membranes.

Vitamin E (as D-Alpha tocopheryl acetate 75% and Mixed Tocopherols) – Natural Vitamin E has been found to support bone health and provide neuroprotection. D-Alpha-tocopheryl is uniquely suited to intercept peroxyl radicals; which prevents a chain reaction of lipid oxidation. Aside from maintaining the integrity of cell membranes throughout the body, Vitamin E protects the fats in low-density lipoproteins from oxidation. D-alpha tocopheryl functions as a chain-breaking antioxidant, preventing the propagation of free radicals in membranes and plasma lipoproteins. Note: D-Alpha denotes a natural form of Vitamin E, whereas DL-Alpha means the form is synthetic.

Vitamin D3 (as Cholecalciferol) - Vitamin D is essential for promoting calcium absorption in the gut and maintaining adequate serum calcium and phosphate concentration, which enables normal mineralization of bone and prevents hypocalcemic tatany. Vitamin D is needed for bone growth as insufficient amounts can lead to bones becoming thin and brittle. Vitamin D roles also include modulation of neuromuscular and immune function, reduction of inflammation, promotion of muscle strength and cardiovascular health, and optimal overall health.  Also, many gene encoding proteins that regulate cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis are modulated by vitamin D.

Vitamin K2 (as Menaquinone MK-7) - Vitamin K provides cardiovascular protection, promotes bone strength/calcification, and protects skin health. The body uses vitamin K for proper blood clotting and the prevention of arterial calcification and arterial stiffening.

Iodine (as Potassium Iodide) - Iodine is needed by the body to make the thyroid hormones triiodothyronine and thyroxine and essential for normal thyroid function. These hormones can regulate gene expression, growth, development, metabolism, and reproductive function.

Calcium (as Calcium Citrate) - Calcium is required for muscle contraction, blood vessel expansion and contraction, secretion of hormones and enzymes, and transmission of impulses throughout the nervous system.

Potassium (as Potassium Citrate) - Potassium Citrate maintains fluid and electrolyte balance, influences blood volume and pressure, and is required for proper nerve conduction and muscle contraction. Lowers blood-pressure and decreases urinary calcium excretion.

Magnesium (as Magnesium Citrate) - Magnesium is a cofactor in more than 300 enzyme systems that regulate diverse biochemical reactions in the body, including protein synthesis, muscle and nerve function, blood glucose control, and blood pressure regulation. Magnesium is required for energy production, oxidative phosphorylation, and glycolysis. It contributes to the structural development of bone and is required for the synthesis of DNA, RNA, and the antioxidant glutathione.

Zinc (as Zinc Bisglycinate) - Zinc is involved in numerous aspects of cellular metabolism. It is required for the catalytic activity of approximately 100 enzymes and plays a role in immune function, protein synthesis, wound healing, DNA synthesis, and cell division. A daily intake of zinc is required to maintain a steady state because the body has no specialized zinc storage system. Zinc also is an antioxidant providing anti-inflammatory actions and enhances the action of insulin.

Manganese (as Manganese Bisglycinate) - Manganese is an essential nutrient involved in the formation of bone and in amino acid, cholesterol, and carbohydrate metabolism. It is a constituent of multiple enzymes and an activator of other enzymes. Arginase, a manganese-containing enzyme, is required by the liver for the urea cycle and regulates elimination of ammonia from the body.

Boron (as amino acid chelate) - Boron significantly improves magnesium absorption and deposition in bone. It is a potent antiosteoporotic, anti-inflammatory, and antineoplastic agent. Boron’s induction of tissue mineralization also underlies boron’s beneficial effects on wound healing.

Molybdenum (as Molybdenum Bisglycinate) - Molybdenum is a cofactor for four enzymes, the most crucial being sulfite oxidase. Sulfite oxidase catalyzes the transformation of sulfite to sulfate, a reaction that is necessary for the metabolism of sulfur-containing amino acids (methionine and cysteine).

Selenium (as L-selenomethionine) - Plays a crucial role in the maintenance of immune-endocrine function, metabolism, and cellular homeostasis. In the thyroid, selenium is required for antioxidant function and for the metabolism of thyroid hormones. It provides protection against oxidative stress and improves the immune system.

Chromium Picolinate - Chromium increases the activity of insulin, and dietary supplementation with chromium has produced improvements in glucose metabolism which may lower blood glucose. Chromium stimulates fatty acid and cholesterol synthesis, which is important for brain function.

Vanadium (as Vanadium Glycinate Chelate) - Increases glucose transport activity, improves glucose metabolism, and cardioprotective activity. Bone tissue accumulates a large amount of vanadium.

Copper (as Copper Bisglycinate) - Important catalyst for heme synthesis and iron absorption and release. Assists in the formation and maintenance of connective tissue; cross-linking of connective tissues in arteries, bones, and heart. Copper plays an important role as an antioxidant and in melanin formation.

Silica (as Choline stabilized Ortho-silicic acid) - Beneficial to bone and connective tissue health. Silicon improves bone matrix quality and facilitates bone mineralization - increases bone mineral density and improves bone strength. Sodium silicate decomposes into bioavailable ortho-silicic acid in the stomach’s gastric juices, and people with low stomach acid or digestive impairments might not obtain enough of silica from silica salts (like sodium silicate or potassium silicate). Ortho-silicic acid is also absorbed more quickly, completely, and consistently than many other forms of silica.

L-Alanine - Used for protein construction and is involved in sugar and acid metabolism, increases immunity, and provides energy for muscle tissue, brain, and the central nervous system. It is able to chemically neutralise toxic compounds in the body.

L-Aspartic Acid - L-aspartic acid is essential for energy production and plays a key role in metabolism. Aspartic acid is needed for the production of immunoglobulins and antibodies. L-aspartic acid helps to remove toxins such as ammonia. When ammonia levels are not regulated, it can cause damage to the liver, nervous system, and brain.

L-Proline - It is an essential component of collagen and is important for proper functioning of joints and tendons. This amino acid helps to strengthen the artery walls and protect the endothelium to prevent reduced blood flow and pressure build-up. During times of injury where there is soft tissue damage, the body elevates proline production which helps to heal the wound.

L-Serine - Plays an important role in the function of DNA and RNA, muscle formation, and metabolism of fat and fatty acids. Antibodies and immunoglobulins needed to support a healthy immune system also require serine for production. Without serine, the body is unable to form tryptophan which causes a decline in the ability to synthesis serotonin. Serine helps to improve the body’s ability to absorb creatine.

L-Threonine - A large portion of l-threonine is absorbed in the upper reaches of the small intestine where is produces the mucus gel layer that covers and protects the digestive tract from digestive enzymes that can damage the intestines. It also helps to produce antibodies to boost the immune system and the thymus gland utilizes this amino acid for this function.

L-Tyrosine - This amino acid is closely linked to nervous system function, metabolism and regulating mood. We need this amino acid to manufacture key neurotransmitters that help to regulate mood and emotional stability. Tyrosine is also required for healthy thyroid, adrenal, and pituitary gland function.

L-Lysine - Plays an important role in the immune system as it is involved in the development of antibodies and has important antiviral properties. Lysine is important for proper growth, and it plays an essential role in the production of carnitine, a nutrient responsible for converting fatty acids into energy and helping lower cholesterol. Helps the body absorb calcium.

Organic Moringa - a tree native to North India, it has antioxidant properties and has been used to assist with lowering cholesterol, lowering blood sugar, and reducing inflammation.

Organic Holy Basil - traditionally used as an adaptogen herb in Ayurvedic medicine. Adaptogens help you to adapt and re-balance in the presence of stressors, thereby decreasing the negative effects of stress on the body. Also known to decrease anxiety, assist adrenal function, balance blood sugar and support the nervous system.

Organic Schisandra - contains high levels of shikimate, particularly helpful for the liver and adrenal glands. Also improves brain function, digestion and hormonal balance.

Lutein - nicknamed "the eye vitamin" lutein is a carotenoid that is helpful with macular degeneration, strengthens eye tissue and reduces eye fatigue. Works in synergy with Zeaxanthin.

Zeaxanthin - another potent antioxidant for eye health. Out of 600 carotenoids, only 20 make it to the eyes, and lutein and zeaxanthin are the only two deposited in large quantity to the macula (central part of the retina).

Cat's Claw - a woody vine that grows wild in tropical areas of Central and South America, using cat’s claw for health dates back to the Inca civilization. Has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, also supports healthy joint and intestinal function.

Chlorella - a type of blue-green algae that helps with toxin release, circulation and hormone regulation.
